Eloquent representatives of all members of the Animal Kingdom – from horses to
bees – come before the respected Spirit King to complain of the dreadful
treatment they have suffered at the hands of humankind. During the ensuing trial,
where both humans and animals testify before the king, both sides argue their
points ingeniously, deftly illustrating the validity of both sides of the ecology
debate. In the end, the King gave his verdict. “By the grace of God, I find myself in
favor of the animals.

ACT is a not-for-profit cultural organization comprised mainly of alumni of the
American University in Cairo. We are a group of people of all ages who are
passionate about theatre and are committed to sharing this passion with the
community at large. Founded in 2009 ACT strives to engage audiences of all
ages in an ongoing dialogue of ideas, and to encourage cooperative work and
lifelong learning as a core community value.
