Overview

Ain AlSokhna, Arabic for ‘hot spring’, was named after the nearby sulfur springs. The springs originate at Gebel Ataka, the northern mountain in the Eastern Desert. Ain AlSokhna is close enough to Cairo for a single day-trip. This popular weekend retreat has fine beaches and coral reefs and is great for fishing, water sports or just simply relaxing.
