Overview
The Palace is located on Al Muizz Street and was constructed by the Mamluk Emir Sayf al-Din Bashtak al-Nasiri, a powerful prince who was married to the daughter of the Sultan Al Nasir Mohamed. The place's surviving part, which was restored in 1983 by the German Archaeological Institute, bears witness to the impressive domestic architecture of the 14th century. This part includes a large reception hall topped by a coffered ceiling, stained glass windows, ornamented marble fountain.
