Overview
Hesham Abd Elfattah is a consultant in general surgery and stomach surgery, with a master's degree in general surgery at Al Kasr Al Ainy University and Al Azhar University. He obtained the fellowship of the German Society of surgeons.General surgery is a surgical field that deals with abdominal contents including esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, appendix and bile ducts, and often the thyroid gland. It is also concerned with diseases involving the skin, breast, soft tissue, trauma, Peripheral artery disease, and hernias. General surgeons are also trained to conduct gastroscopy and colonoscopy surgeries. General surgeons may sub-specialize into one or more of the following specialties: Laparoscopic surgery, Trauma surgery, Colorectal surgery, Breast surgery, Vascular surgery, Endocrine surgery, Transplant surgery, Surgical oncology, Cardiothoracic surgery, and Pediatric surgery.
