Overview
Khaled Saeed is a professor of Cardiology at Ain Shams University. He is a member of the American Heart Association, the European Society of cardiology, the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI), and the British Society of interventional cardiology. Cardiology is a branch of internal medicine concerned with the diagnosis and treatment of the heart and the circulatory system. This field includes the medical diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, heart valve disease, and electrophysiology. Pediatric cardiologists are paediatricians who specialize in heart diseases, whereas cardiothoracic surgeons or cardiac surgeons are doctors specializing in heart surgery, which is a speciality of general surgery.
