Overview
Nahla El Sayed is a professor of Neuropsychiatry at the Faculty of Medicine at Ain Shams University. She is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. A psychiatrist is a medical doctor with an M.D. or D.O. in Psychiatry. Psychiatry deals with the diagnosis and treatment of mental problems. Psychiatrists are trained to evaluate both mental and physical characteristics of psychological disorders. People see psychiatrists for multifarious reasons, such as sudden attacks, hallucinations, suicidal thoughts, unreal voices. Psychiatrists also deal with life-long disorders, such as long-term sadness, anxiety, and depression, which can negatively affect everyday functioning.
