Overview
Two adjoining 16th century houses make up the Gayer Anderson Museum, often called Beit Al Kretliyya (house of the Cretan woman). A British major, John Gayer Anderson, graciously restored and renovated the houses between 1935 and 1942, creating a beautiful mix of different oriental styles.
