Overview
Khan Al Khalili contains skinny lanes, is basically a medieval-style mall. Cairo’s famous bazaar, the Khan where you can buy touristy and local knickknacks and artifacts like belly dance outfits, ethnic jewelry, shisha pipes, brass ornaments, and spices. Make sure you bargain! Rest in El Fishawi, one of Cairo’s oldest cafés operating for the last 200 years and boasting beautiful wall mirrors dating back to the 17th century. The Naguib Mahfouz restaurant is the best place to eat while at Khan.
