Overview

Masjed Almahmodyah also known by Masjed Mostafa Fadel, is Founded by Mahmud Pasha in 1567, it's an official architecture of the early Ottoman Cairene that follows the Mamluk tradition. The mosque is kinda hanging, has to take steps to enter the entrance, the prayer hall is wide, and contains four granite columns. The design was common in Egypt's mosques in the Ottoman period, and it's almost identical to Sultan Hasan's Madrasa model.
