Overview
Built in 1867 and finished in the early 20th century, this mosque tricks visitors into thinking it’s a Mamluk monument, due to its location opposite the Mosque of SultanHassan. The mosque holds the graves of members of Egypt’s royal family including King Farouk. It’s much smaller than the Sultan Hassan Mosque, but the Al Rifaii Mosque is a lot more intricate inside and tranquil.
